  • Business Settings → Barcode Settings

  • Set barcode prefix and suffix if needed
  • Configure automatic barcode generation for new products

What barcode types are supported?

RapiNova Accounts supports multiple barcode formats:

  • Code128: Most versatile, supports letters and numbers
  • Code39: Simple format, widely supported
  • EAN13: Standard retail barcode (13 digits)
  • UPC-A: North American retail standard
  • QR Code: For additional product information

How are barcodes automatically generated?

When you create a new product, RapiNova automatically generates a unique barcode using your configured format. You can also manually assign barcodes or import existing ones.

How do I use barcode scanning in POS?

Barcode scanning in POS is simple:

  1. Connect your barcode scanner to the POS device
  2. Open the POS screen
  3. Click in the product search field or press F4
  4. Scan the product barcode
  5. Product is automatically added to the sale

Can I scan barcodes for inventory management?

Yes! Use barcode scanning for:

What label sizes are supported?

RapiNova supports various label sizes:

  • 30 labels per sheet (1" x 2-5/8")
  • 20 labels per sheet (1" x 4")
  • 14 labels per sheet (1.33" x 4")
  • Custom label sizes
  • Thermal printer labels (various sizes)

Can I customize label design?

Yes! You can customize labels with:

  • Product name and SKU
  • Price and currency

What printers work for label printing?

Advanced Barcode Features

Can I import existing barcodes?

Yes! You can import barcodes when importing products via CSV. Include the barcode column in your import file to assign existing barcodes to products.

How do I handle product variations with barcodes?

Each product variation can have its own unique barcode. This allows you to scan and sell specific sizes, colors, or other variations directly without additional selection.

Can I use QR codes instead of barcodes?

Yes! QR codes can store more information and can include product details, pricing, or links to product information. Configure QR code format in barcode settings.

How do I bulk generate barcodes for existing products?

To generate barcodes for existing products:

  1. Go to Products → List Products
  2. Select products without barcodes
  3. Use bulk actions → Generate Barcodes
  4. System automatically assigns unique barcodes

Troubleshooting

Barcode not scanning properly

Common issues and solutions:

  • Scanner not recognized: Check USB connection and drivers

Label printing issues

Duplicate barcode errors
